Membership of Shropshire Tourism is open to any business with an interest or involvement in the visitor market. In addition to visitor attractions and accommodation providers this includes retail, catering outlets, activity providers, and recreation and leisure businesses. Shropshire Tourism currently represents over 500 private sector members.
As part of our duty of care and in line with national policy, Shropshire Tourism only promotes accommodation businesses that are independently inspected and graded to national standards. We run the Shropshire Accommodation Assessment Scheme, a locally run scheme that is very popular. For information about becoming assessed, please visit our Shropshire Tourism assessments section.
We also accept gradings by English Country Cottages, Cottages4You, Hoseasons, Sykes, the AA, Visit Wales and Quality in Tourism on behalf of VisitBritain.
The Shropshire Tourism membership is a yearly subscription from 1st August to 31st July, but if you are a new member wanting to join then don't wait until 1st August! Please call us on 01743 261919 to find out how your business can benefit immediately (pro-rata rates may be available).

The main benefit of becoming a member of Shropshire Tourism is having a full web entry on the official tourism website, www.shropshiretourism.co.uk (which receives over 600,000 unique visitors per annum). Click here for the full member benefits.
On average for each member this generates:
- 1,014 clicks on your web entry for 'more information' about your business
- 432 clicks on your web entry through to your own website (if you have one). If you don't have a website click here.
Businesses renew their membership with us year after year after year because we generate enquiries and referrals for them.
The joint membership arrangement means that your web entry will also display on one or more of the following websites too, depending on your location:
