Beware! - Chinese Domain Name Scam

Please be aware of companies contacting you apparently ‘concerned’ with protecting your domain name and/or trading name. In most cases it is a scam. We have received a few emails on the topic of Chinese and/or Asian domain registration emails. The emails are sent to the addresses publicly listed for a given domain name from an alleged Chinese domain name registration assistance services. Once you respond they will try and sell you domains that have various suffixes – and usually at vastly inflated costs. Our advice do not reply and mark their emails as junk!

Visitors to Shropshire still request and use the Shropshire & Welsh Borders brochure to find accommodation and find out about Shropshire – Arkenford research showed that for over 50% of visitors this is still a primary source of information in their pre-trip planning.

Britain’s favourite Hidden Gem

Visit England have been working with leading pork pie manufacturer Pork Farms to find the nation’s top three favourite Hidden Gems – we have already nominated some Shropshire places and now we need your help to nominate others! Pork Farms has teamed up with UK Tourist Boards to discover those very special places that, while may be known to some, maybe totally unknown to others and they are inviting people to visit the Pork Farms website to inspire their inner explorer. Hidden Gem explorers have until 31st July 2016 to submit their own favourite Hidden Gems before the top five from each region are picked to be part of a very special regional shortlist.
