Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery Open Evening

Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery are having an open evening on 25th October until 9pm. They would like to welcome owners of retail and tourism businesses in the town and nearby to come along to see the exhibition ‘Heavenly Lights’ about Margaret Rope and enjoy the projections of her stained glass works on the front of the Museum (between 7pm and 9pm) by Andy McKeown.

Changes to Web Entries on the Shropshire Tourism Website

The Good News! – Alasdair Sawday, Johansens and others…. As properties no longer need to be graded to appear on the Shropshire Tourism website we can now accept a range of other awards and commendations. So if you have an award from one of the above or indeed any other organisation that you wish to appear on your own web entry on the Shropshire Tourism website just let us know and we will add it for you. The Bad News - Sykes Cottages Although you now longer have to be graded to appear on the Shropshire Tourism website, many members will already be aware that Sykes Cottages no longer inspect properties to a strict set of defined grading criteria when awarding properties a number of ticks. We wrote to Sykes regarding the matter, and after numerous attempts to speak to them to discuss the situation, we have received no feedback whatsoever.
