We are currently working on the official visitor guide for the County, and do have a few spaces left if you would like to advertise – but be quick! Visitors to Shropshire request and use the Shropshire & Welsh Borders brochure to find accommodation and find out about Shropshire – Arkenford research showed that for over 50% of visitors this is still a primary source of information in their pre-trip planning.

The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (EFRA) Committee recently launched an inquiry into the role of tourism in supporting rural growth in England. Rural Tourism provides around £17 billion a year to the English economy. But rural communities face some particular challenges to tourism growth such as transport connections, restrictions to broadband access and seasonal employment.
