The Featured article published in the Sunday Telegraph on 25th July was a result of a press trip organised and hosted by Shropshire Tourism earlier in the year.

The half page article was written by freelance travel writer Bill Cashmore who visited Shropshire in April with his wife (also a freelance travel writer).

The press trip focused on top places to stay in Ludlow with things to see and do. The organised trip was hosted by Shropshire Tourism with support from its members; DeGreys, Mr. Underhill's, Castle House Lodgings, Stokesay Court, Rocke Cottage Tearooms and Wheely Wonderful Cycling.

The article has already generated interest with unique visits to the Shropshire Tourism website seeing an increase this month and referalls coming direct from the Telegraph website. The finishing line in the article stated: 'Visit the excellent Shropshire Tourism website (www.shropshiretourism.co.uk) for information on Ludlow's many food and cultural festivals'.

Catherine Collier, Business Manager added: 'It was pleasure hosting Bill and Sasha back in April, we had glorious weather that weekend, they both thoroughly enjoyed their stay, especially the cycle ride to Stokesay Court and back to Ludlow.  As a not for profit organisation we are reliant on the support of our members to assist in the hosting of press trips and it is very encouraging when such a fantastic feature appears in the national press as a result.'
