“Connecting Shropshire” Update…

“Connecting Shropshire” Update…

Connecting Shropshire was initiated to bring fibre broadband to provide areas where it is not economically viable for commercial properties to provide broadband.

BT have teamed up with Shropshire Council to build faster broadband within the Shropshire area.

The idea is that once built, it will enable businesses to buy competitive broadband from a range of different service providers.

From the 8th of October, it was recorded that 43,787 homes and businesses have been fibre enabled and 60 exchange areas are now ‘accepting orders’.

In addition to promoting fibre broadband, there are various free workshops available for women across Shropshire in order to enable women to boost their digital business skills.
