Invitation to Tourism Businesses to Ironbridge Gorge Museums Open Day on Monday 21st March 2016

The team at Ironbridge are delighted to invite you, and one guest, to a special Tourism Industry Open Day which will be the perfect opportunity for you to see the museums for yourself with complimentary access to each of the ten sites.

It will also be a great chance to hear about the plans for the year ahead and to find out more about the calendar of special events & exhibitions in 2016.

Following an informal welcome and cup of tea or coffee you will have the chance to see ‘Design & Desire: The Great Exhibition of 1851’, a fabulous new free exhibition that brings the excitement and intrigue of the Great Exhibition to life using objects and images including prints and paintings from the Elton Collection.

• 11.30 Join the team for an informal cup of coffee in the Glass Classroom, Coalbrookdale

• 11.45 Welcome from the Museum’s Chief Executive, Anna Brennand

• 12.00 Enjoy a tour of ‘Design & Desire: The Great Exhibition of 1851'

• 12.30 You can then explore all the museums under your own steam

Everyone joining the team for coffee and the Open Day will be given an Invitation to visit each of the ten Ironbridge Gorge Museums, once over the next 12 months.

If you can’t make this session, or feel a colleague would benefit from a familiarisation visit to the museums, then contact Richard Aldred (details below) to discuss the options.

There will be 2016 museum leaflets and What’s On Leaflets available to take away on the day.

If you would like a supply of leaflets but can’t make the open day please contact Richard Aldred.

Please RSVP by Friday 11 March 2016 to Richard on 01952 435 900 or richard.aldred@ironbridge.org.uk
