The Real King Arthur in Shropshire

The Real King Arthur in Shropshire

The recent release of the Guy Ritchie directed King 'Arthur: The Legend of the Sword' is set to spark interest in King Arthur, who was of course "A Shropshire Lad" born and bred! The previous 2004 film adaption staring Clive Owen and Keira Knightley gave a real boost to the county, so we have great hopes for this 2017 connection.

Discover the Shropshire of King Arthur with the ‘On The Trail of the Real King Arthur in Shropshire’ leaflet, based on the research and book King Arthur: The True Story by Graham Phillips and Martin Keatman.

The trail in the new booklet- launched to coincide with the release of the film- guides you around Shropshire calling at the sites of King Arthur, letting the real story unfold.
