What have we been up to?

What have we been up to?

Find out what the Shropshire Tourism team have been up to recently

As many of our members will know this time of year is very busy for the team at Shropshire Tourism putting together the 2010 Shropshire brochure and supporting many of the district tourism associations with their own brochures, as well as processing the annual membership renewals.

But, it doesn't stop there! we are also running a national and regional destination marketing campaign on behalf of the Shropshire & Telford Destination Management Partnership.  We are sadly coming to the end of what has been a truly exciting project - the press and pr for Darwin's Bicentenary on behalf of Shropshire Council (and Shrewsbury & Atcham Borough Council, previously).

We have been working with Telford & Shropshire Marketing Partnership developing a group travel website, a group travel pack and suggested itineraries.  We have already benefited from a few journalists visiting the county, one of which we hosted last week for a feature on Shropshire for BBC Countryfile magazine.

Our marketing team are conducting a number of marketing reviews for individual businesses and our IT team are busy designing new websites for members.  On top of that, a user generated content website for Shropshire is being designed and developed in-house, this will act as the official visitor review site for the county.

The Shropshire Accommodation Assessment Scheme has really taken off with our assessors nearing 40 assessments for a range of serviced and self catering members.  We are delighted with the positive feedback received from those of you who have participated in the scheme.

The team would be happy to help you with any of your own marketing requirements, just give us a call on 01743 462462.
