The 2009 Shropshire brochure generated business worth over £4 million, as well as driving thousands of visitors to the main website network.

The 2010 Shropshire and Welsh Borders brochure has now been signed off! The media campaign for 2010 to promote the brochure has been booked in the Radio Times, in addition to other proven direct response publications.

These will run next year and generate thousands of brochure requests from eager prospective visitors to Shropshire.

We will also soon be undertaking an e-campaign to all those profiled visitors who have requested a 2009 brochure via www.shropshiretourism.co.uk to promote our advance 2010 brochure request facility. Visitors can request the brochure 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by telephone and online.

Meanwhile, the 2010 Ludlow & the Shropshire Hills brochure is very nearly signed off too. Shropshire Tourism produces this publication on behalf of South Shropshire Tourism Limited. We have also produced the 2010 Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock & Severn Valley Visitor Guide on behalf of Bridgnorth & District Tourist Association and the Essential Shropshire brochure on behalf of North Shropshire Tourism.

So, some fantastic new literature on the way for next year. Thank you to all of our members who have supported the 2010 brochures.

Also, coming soon: A new food and drink website for Shropshire as well as a new retail website to promote all of our independent shops. Look out for details in the New Year.
