The new Shropshire brochure flies out of Shropshire Tourism Office

The new Shropshire brochure flies out of Shropshire Tourism Office

Shropshire Tourism is reporting record numbers of requests for the county’s main visitor guide so far this year. In the last 6 weeks, over 8,000 people have requested the 2010 Shropshire brochure.

Being the official tourist guide promoting the whole of Shropshire, the magazine style brochure includes places to stay, things to see and do as well as showing potential visitors what Shropshire’s market towns have on offer.

Commenting on the upsurge of requests, Shropshire Tourism’s Chief Executive, Simon McCloy said: ‘We are delighted with number of Shropshire brochures that have already been posted out directly from our office in Shrewsbury to people who are interested in visiting Shropshire.  The requests are a direct result of our targeted marketing plan that includes an email campaign, a national advertising campaign and promotion through the main destination website for the county; www.shropshiretourism.co.uk’.

He added ‘With VisitBritain forecasting a bumper year for British tourism and a continuation of the ‘staycation’ trend last year, Shropshire is really well placed as a value for money destination that offers both the quality of accommodation and the variety of things to see and do’.
